This blog values user privacy and strives to process personal information securely in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

This blog does not operate a membership registration system or a separate contact form, and users are not required to provide their name, email address, or telephone number when submitting comments. However, comment content, usage records, online identifiers, and technical information related to site security may be generated or processed automatically while using the blog.

2. Use of Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses, although IP-related processing may occur during service delivery, for example to derive approximate geographic information.

The retention period for user-level and event-level Google Analytics data on this blog is set to 14 months.

Information processed through Google Analytics may be handled outside the Republic of Korea or outside the user’s country of residence as part of Google’s global service operations.

3. Use of Microsoft Clarity

This blog uses Microsoft Clarity to analyze site usage behavior and improve content layout and user experience.

Microsoft Clarity may process:

  • Page visits and usage records
  • Click and scroll information
  • Mouse or pointer movements
  • Screen and browser size information
  • Page rendering and DOM-related information
  • Browser and device information
  • Pseudonymous identifiers related to sessions and page usage
  • Other technical information relating to site usage

This information may be used for heatmaps, session recordings, behavior analysis, and usability improvements.

Microsoft Clarity may use cookies or similar technologies such as _clck and _clsk.

Under Microsoft’s applicable retention policies, session playback data may generally be retained for 30 days, while click, heatmap, and certain aggregated data may be retained for up to 9 months.

Where prior consent is required by applicable law, Clarity’s cookies and analytics functions may be limited according to the user’s consent status.

4. Use of Cloudflare and Site Security Services

This blog uses Cloudflare CDN and WAF services to improve content delivery speed, maintain service stability, and protect against security threats.

NinjaFirewall is also used to strengthen security at the WordPress server level.

The following information may be processed:

  • IP address and network information
  • Access date and time
  • Requested URL
  • Browser and device information
  • HTTP request and response information
  • Abnormal access or request patterns
  • Technical information related to security threat detection

Such information may be used for content delivery, performance improvement, stability, and the detection and blocking of malicious requests, automated access, spam, and cyberattacks.

5. Use of Image Optimization Services

This blog uses Optimole to improve image delivery speed and site performance.

The following information may be processed:

  • Access and request time
  • Requested image or page information
  • Network request information

This information may be used for image optimization, content delivery, caching, and performance improvement.

6. Comments and Spam Prevention

This blog may provide WordPress commenting functionality.

Users are not required to provide their name or email address when submitting comments, and this blog does not use commenter avatars or Gravatar.

The following information may be processed when comments are submitted:

  • Browser and User-Agent information
  • Comment submission time
  • Information relating to the relevant post and request

If users voluntarily provide information in optional fields, such information may also be processed with the comment.

This blog uses Antispam Bee to detect and block spam comments.

Comments classified as spam may be retained for up to 30 days before being automatically deleted.

Legitimate comments may be retained for as long as necessary for comment operation and management and may be deleted upon request or when retention is no longer necessary.

7. Popular Posts and View Statistics

This blog uses WordPress Popular Posts to display popular content and understand content usage trends.

Post view counts may be aggregated for ranking and displaying popular content.

This functionality is not used for personalized advertising, user profiling, or individual behavioral tracking.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

This blog and external services used by the blog may use cookies or similar technologies for:

This blog does not currently use Google AdSense.

Where personalized advertising is used, such processing may depend on the user’s consent status and applicable laws.

This Privacy Policy, cookie settings, and applicable consent mechanisms will be updated when AdSense is implemented.

10. Affiliate Marketing

This blog participates in affiliate marketing programs related to products, accommodations, transportation, travel services, and other relevant products and services.

An affiliate relationship does not guarantee the quality, price, availability, or suitability of any product or service.

11. Backup and Recovery

This blog uses UpdraftPlus to securely store site data and restore the site in the event of failure.

Backup files may be stored on Google Drive.

Backups may include:

  • Posts and pages
  • Comments and comment-related data
  • Site settings
  • Database information
  • Plugin and theme data
  • Uploaded images and files

Comment content, IP addresses, and other technical information may also be included in database backups.

Backup files may be retained on a rotating basis according to the configured retention policy.

12. Other Site Operation Plugins

This blog may use WordPress plugins including Polylang, Rank Math SEO, Stackable, W3 Total Cache, WPS Hide Login, and two-factor authentication.

These functions are primarily used for:

  • Multilingual content
  • Search engine optimization
  • Site design
  • Caching and performance
  • Administrator account and site security

These functions are not used for personalized advertising or individual profiling.

13. External Services and International Processing

This blog uses external services including:

  • Google: Google Analytics and Google Drive
  • Microsoft: Microsoft Clarity
  • Cloudflare: CDN and security services
  • Optimole: Image optimization and delivery
  • Affiliate marketing networks and service providers

Additional advertising services such as Google AdSense may be introduced in the future.

Certain information may be stored or processed on servers outside the Republic of Korea or outside the user’s country of residence.

Specific storage locations, processing methods, retention periods, and safeguards may vary according to each provider’s policies, contracts, and service settings.

14. Advertising, Affiliate Relationships, and Personal Information

The operator of this blog does not sell users’ personal information.

This blog participates in affiliate marketing programs and may receive commissions when users purchase products or book services through certain affiliate links.

Affiliate providers may process cookies, online identifiers, device information, click information, and purchase or booking information for attribution, conversion measurement, and commission settlement.

The following services are not currently used:

If advertising services are introduced, this Privacy Policy and applicable consent mechanisms will be updated to reflect actual processing practices.

15. Retention Periods

Information may be retained for the period necessary for the relevant purpose.

  • Google Analytics user-level and event-level data: 14 months
  • Microsoft Clarity session playback data: 30 days
  • Microsoft Clarity click, heatmap, and certain aggregated data: up to 9 months
  • Spam comments: up to 30 days
  • Legitimate comments: for the period necessary for comment management
  • Security information: for the period necessary for site security and operation
  • Post view statistics: for the period necessary to operate popular-content features
  • Affiliate click and conversion data: according to affiliate provider policies and commission settlement requirements
  • Backup data: according to the configured backup retention policy

When processing is no longer necessary, relevant information may be deleted or destroyed in accordance with applicable laws and operational policies.

16. User Rights and Choices

Users may exercise privacy rights available under applicable law, including access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing.

Users may control or delete cookies through their browser settings.

Users who do not wish to have data collected through Google Analytics may use Google’s Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Where cookie or analytics consent management is available, users may modify their preferences or withdraw consent.

Comment authors may request deletion of comments and related information.

Users outside Korea may have additional rights under privacy laws applicable in their jurisdiction.
