Top 5 Seoul Photography Spots in Autumn – Namsan Seoul Tower

Namsan Seoul Tower is a must-visit attraction when you are in Seoul. Visible from nearly anywhere within the capital, it’s originally created as a broadcasting tower. Today, Namsan Tower has become the perfect getaway in town, featuring a beautiful observatory and various experience facilities.

Right next to the tower is the Roof Terrace, an expansive outdoor observatory of Namsan Seoul Tower designed for couples. Ever since the main characters of a TV show visited the terrace and attached 2 padlocks to the fence as a symbol of their love, many couples have since followed suit. You can now find tens of thousands of love locks hanging around the terrace. The scene itself already makes a good photography spot.

Located in the city center, Ansan provides a good view of downtown Seoul, and it is filled with great half-day hiking routes. And the best part? It’s largely void of crowds, which means you can get to enjoy the scenery without having to fight with others for the perfect photography spot!

As the mountain is really big, there are so many routes to enter and exit the mountain. The best way to start your hike is from the beautiful waterfall, as it’s the easiest entry point.

We actually got lost finding our way, but a kind Korean gentleman walked with us for more than 15 mins, just to bring us there. This gentleman couldn’t speak English, so we didn’t communicate much. But his kindness really touched me. It’s such a pity that I didn’t even know his name. I just kept saying “thank you” in Korean to express my gratitude.
