Why you should visit Bai Dinh Pagoda Ninh Binh?

When it comes to Vietnam, many people will immediately think of Halong Bay or Ho Chi Minh. But very few people have heard of Ninh Binh, the ancient capital of Vietnam. To be frank, I’ve never heard of it before either before embarking my journey. But I’m so glad that I made the decision to go there. Ninh Binh is a hidden gem of Vietnam. In my opinion, it’s even more beautiful than Halong Bay and more memorable than Sapa. One of the greatest attractions in Ninh Binh is Bai Dinh Pagoda. In this post, you’ll discover why you should visit Bai Dinh Pagoda Ninh Binh.

The Bai Dinh pagoda is located at 20 km from Ninh Binh town and 95 km from Ha Noi. Although it’s a little far from Ninh Binh town, it’s worth every effort to go the extra mile.

  • It has truly beautiful Buddha statues

Inside the pagoda, you will be able to see so many Buddha statues. The most beautiful ones are in the pagoda at the top. The Buddha statues are all gold plated, that’s why they are glowing with a mysterious grandeur.

  • It has the most ZEN hotel in the world

Bai Dinh Hotel Ninh Binh is located inside the pagoda. It is the most ZEN hotel I’ve ever stayed. The hotel is built using ancient architecture. You’ll lose a sense of time when you come in. It makes you feel that you are visiting an ancient palace, not a hotel!

The furniture is made by woods, making the place really relaxing. I especially like the shower bottles in the toilet. They are made of china and they are really cute. Overall, the hotel offers classic oriental luxury style, which you can rarely find in other hotels.

However, do note that the hotel is also far from Ninh Binh town. So you basically can’t do much at night apart from visiting the pagoda again. But if you are looking for serenity, Bai Dinh hotel will be perfect for you!

There’s no better way to get a good view of Bai Dinh Pagoda Ninh Binh than watching the video below. The video was taken using a drone, so you can really see the full view of the grand pagoda from a bird-eye view. Enjoy! 😀
